1. Data controller

The data controller for information collected through this site is Daniele Pastina, as the individual operating the Romolhouse property. For any request regarding your personal data, you can write to info@romolhouse.com.

2. Data we collect and why

Depending on how you interact with the site, we collect:

• Booking and payment — name, email, and phone number, collected via Stripe at checkout. Payment card details never pass through or are stored by us: they are handled entirely by Stripe. This data is used to manage the booking, issue the (legally required) fiscal receipt, and comply with tourist tax obligations.
• Online check-in — guest details and ID document, collected via the personal check-in link sent after booking, to comply with legal guest-registration requirements. ID documents are deleted within 48 hours of check-in.
• Contact form — name, email, and message, used solely to reply to you.
• Reviews— if you choose to leave a review via the personal link received after your stay, your ratings and comment may be published on the site (shortened name for privacy, e.g. "Mario R.") if we approve it.
• Map cookies — the interactive map on the Area page loads Google Maps cookies, only if you consent via the banner shown on the site.

3. Legal basis

We process your data for the performance of a contract (your booking), to comply with legal obligations (tourist tax, fiscal receipts, guest registration), for our legitimate interest in replying to you, and with your consent for non-essential cookies.

4. Who we share data with

To run the site, we rely on the following providers, who process data on our behalf:

• Stripe (payments)
• Supabase (booking data storage)
• Resend (confirmation and contact emails)
• Vercel (site hosting)
• Google Maps (map on the Area page, only with consent)

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data retention

Booking-related data is retained for as long as required by Italian tax and accounting law. ID documents collected during check-in are deleted within 48 hours of check-in. Messages sent via the contact form are kept for as long as needed to handle your request.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction, deletion, or restriction of your data at any time, or object to its processing and request portability, by writing to info@romolhouse.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it).

7. Cookies

The site uses only technical cookies necessary for it to function (none of which require consent). The only exception is the interactive map on the Area page, which loads Google Maps cookies only after your explicit consent, given via the cookie banner or by clicking "Show map". You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's data for this site.
